किवाड़, क्रूरता, अनन्तिम, अतिक्रमण और अमीरी रेखा कुमार अम्बुज के कविता संग्रह हैं। इच्छाएँ उनका कहानी संग्रह है जबकि वैचारिक लेखों की दो पुस्तिकाएँ—मनुष्य का अवकाश तथा क्षीण सम्भावना की कौंध भी प्रकाशित हैं। कविताओं के लिए उन्हें मध्य प्रदेश साहित्य अकादेमी का माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी पुरस्कार, भारतभूषण अग्रवाल स्मृति पुरस्कार, श्रीकान्त वर्मा पुरस्कार, गिरिजाकुमार माथुर सम्मान, केदार सम्मान और वागीश्वरी पुरस्कार आदि प्राप्त हुए हैं।
