Partha Chaterjee is Professor of Anthropology and South Asian Studies, Columbia University, New York and Honorary Professor, Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta. His many books include Nationalist Thought and the Colonial World (1986), The Nation and Its Fragments (1993), A Possible India (1997), The Politics of the Governed (2004), Lineages of Political Society (2011) and The Black Hole of Empire (2012).
Christopher Hill was an English Marxist historian and academic, specialising in seventeenth century English history. From 1965 to 1978, he was Master of Balliol College, Oxford University.
Molly Daniels Ramanujan is the author of Yellow Fish, translated into Kannada by her husband, A.K. Ramanujan, and published as Haladi Meenu. She has also written A City of Children and Other Storie
